Robert Arnove and Susanne Schwibs combine interviews with observational footage to tell the story of the Indy Thunder Beep Baseball Team Members as they prepare and compete in the world series to defend their title. Their courage and resilience is admirable: “Blindness is not what defines us. We can do anything that a sighted athlete can do.” The determination and heart of the team´s coach, Darnell Booker, drive the team to excel. “Yes, it’s a sport. But it’s much more than that. It’s like one big community, one big support group.”

Among her works are “Cuba: The Forgotten Revolution”, “Harp Dreams: Inside the USA International Harp Competition”, “American Horizons: The Photographs of Art Sinsabaugh”, and “No Compromise: Lessons in Feminist Art with Judy Chicago”. Schwibs teaches filmmaking and nonfiction production at the Indiana University Media School.
Jia White is a lecturer in the School of Education at Curtin University, Australia, where she leads the Subject Area of Theories of Development, Learning and Diversity. She currently serves as the co-convener of the Inclusive Education SIG at the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES). With over 25 years of experience in teacher education, Dr. Jia has worked at universities both in Australia and China. Her teaching and research focus on learner diversity, curriculum development, inclusive education, educational equity and school improvement. Her recent research projects include Inclusive Education for Neurodiverse Learners and Supporting Students with Disabilities in Higher Education.
